The Guido Deiro Archive -- consisting of newspaper reviews, sheet music, 78 RPM recordings, as well as Guido Deiro's personal accordion -- was donated to The Center for the Study of Free-Reed Instruments (CSFRI) by Mr. Deiro's son, Count Guido Roberto Deiro.

Founded in 1998, CSFRI is part of the Barry S. Brook Center for Music Research and Documentation at The Graduate Center of The City University of New York. Its primary purpose is to foster new research on all aspects--organological, sociological, iconographical, repertorial, performance practice, etc.--of all free-reed instruments, both western and eastern. CSFRI sponsors an annual symposium/concert each Spring, and issues an annual journal, The Free-Reed Journal, each Fall (published for CSFRI by Pendragon Press of Hillsdale, New York).

CSFRI has also begun to build a small Library/Archive of both primary and secondary sources, the most notable holdings being its substantial collection of Victorian-period music for the English concertina and the Guido Deiro Archive.
