Mike O'Regan was born in Skipton, Yorks, UK on 9 November 1933 and educated at St. Bede's Grammar School, Bradford, Yorks., UK. From 1952 to 1974 he served with the British Regular Army (RAOC) and retired with the rank of Warrant Officer Class I. From 1974 to 1988 he was a Local Government Officer with Nottingham City Council (Management Services), latterly Chief Computer Officer with Nottingham City Transport. From 1988 to 1997 he formed a computer User Group featuring the Psion Range of Pocket Computers (PDAs) and published monthly magazine, distributed to members in over 40 countries.
From 1997 O'Regan has been a semi-retired Music Teacher (Keyboards) associated with the London College of Music and formed the Nottingham Accordion Club in November 1999. Now he teaches Organ, Keyboard, Piano Accordion. He has had Harmonica lessons with James Hughes and is a member of National Harmonica League (NHL). He has taught music semi-professionally for the past 25 years, and been resident organist in several Clubs. In the past, O'Regan has written articles and programs for Personal Computer World and Amateur Photographer.
