Henry Doktorski and Tony Maiorana, Toms River, New Jersey (2013) Tony Mairana taught me how to play the accordion, first at the Hi-Way Music Studio in East Brunswick and later at his Somerset Street Studio in New Brunswick (1963-1971). He gave me a solid musical foundation which enabled me years later to perform with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, the Detroit Symphony, the Cleveland Chamber Symphony, the Tanglewood Festival Orchestra, the Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival Orchestra, and many others. More recently I enjoyed visiting him and participating in his popular Friday Noontime Musical Performances at the Plaza Drive Shopping Mall in Toms River, New Jersey. I will miss him.--Henry Doktorski
