March 4-5, 2006, Wayne, Pennsylvania: Henry Doktorski performed as featured guest artist, lecturer and evaluator for the American Accordion Musicological Society Annual Convention and Competition at the Wyndham Valley Forge Hotel near Philadelpia.
Doktorski performed a recital consisting of the music of Guido and Pietro Deiro at the 7:30 p.m. Saturday night concert, and the next morning presented a Sunday lecture at 11:30 a.m. on the lives and music of the two Deiro brothers, Guido and Pietro.
Other performers and workshop presenters included Robert Young McMahan, Lenny Feldman, Ron Onda, Ed Touchstone, Bobby Raye, John Matulis, Mike Dellapena, Mary Tokarski, James Vandelly, Stanley and Joanna Darrow. The AAMS honor recipient for 2006 was Lou Persic.
