Stink bug on china

April 30, 2011: Henry Doktorski's photograph "Stink bug on china" has been getting lots of attention at the Lawrenceville "Art All Night" (Pittsburgh) exhibition, according to his friend and fellow photographer Dawn Jackman-Biery who attended the exhibition and took this photo.

Doktorski said, "When winter approaches in Western Pennsylvania, the stink bugs enter our homes and find nooks and crannies where they hibernate for a few months. In the spring, they wake up and try to find their way outside. Most wind up crawling around on the walls and ceilings unable to escape. When I see such a lost wandering insect, I catch it and release it outside. This particular insect I thought looked like a good photo subject, so I placed it on some china and took some photographs before I set it free."

Doktorski's "Stink bug on china" at the exhibition is part of a set of three photographs which appear below.
