August 4, 2024: Henry and Cindy set up a book table at the Los Angeles Ratha Yatra Festival at Venice Beach, California. Ratha Yatra, also known as the Chariot Festival, is a Hindu festival that involves processions of deities in chariots. The festival is celebrated annually in India, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. The most well-known Ratha Yatra is the one held in Puri, Odisha, India, which is considered the oldest and largest of its kind.

Henry explained, “It’s been six years since my first book of Hare Krishna history, Killing For Krishna, was published, and I’ve thought for a long time about setting up a book table at the annual Los Angeles Ratha Yatra festival hosted by the New Dwarka ISKCON temple in Los Angeles. Finally this year, 2024, I decided to go ahead. We offered twelve books for sale: Killing For Krishna, Eleven Naked Emporers, and 10 volumes of Gold, Guns and God. We sold some books, met some old friends, and made some new friends. We will definitely return next year!”
