Hank and Terri Doktorski: Terri’s Early Years

Terri was born Theresa Maria Czartowicz on January 27, 1932 in South River, New Jersey. As explained earlier, her family later changed their surname to Chadwick.

Terri was a scholar and graduated from South River High School as co-valedictorian in 1950. This photo shows her delivering a speech as co-valedictorian at the commencement exercises of her graduating class, South River High School: 1950. In 1952 she graduated from the Newark Secretarial School in Newark, New Jersey.

Terri was also active in the Roman Catholic Church as a member of Sodality, the faith-sharing community in the Marianist tradition. She was chosen to crown the statue of the Blessed Virgin during the May Crowning ceremonies at St. Stephens Roman Catholic Church.

Terri married Hank on October 17, 1953.
